Professional Support for Master Plant Dieta Healing

Qualified, experienced therapy for your ongoing healing & transformation...

We are very happy to introduce our affiliate professional therapeutic support team. Each therapist that we work with holds a Masters level qualification and over 12 years of experience in their respective focus areas of therapeutic practice. They also each hold substantial years of personal experience with traditional Shipibo Master Plant Dieta healing.

The intensive healing work that we do in our Ayahuasca Retreats with Master Plant Dieta can bring about profound, ongoing transformation in your life and key relationships.

Our experienced retreat facilitators are available to help with general Ayahuasca Integration and Master Plant Dieta coaching support. But sometimes you may appreciate professional therapeutic support for your major processes of healing and change.

Jen Smee

BA, CA Licensed MFT (Somatic Psychotherapy)

Jen hails from Berkeley, California where she holds a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Jen has been practicing as a licensed somatic psycho-therapist since 2012. She began her personal exploration of Ayahuasca and Shipibo Master Plant Dieta healing at about the same time. Jen is one of Caya Shobo’s most senior Ayahuasca Retreat facilitators and provides professional therapeutic support to the Caya Shobo community.

Jen’s approach to healing is holistic, relational and body-centered. Her training in Formative psychotherapy and the Hakomi method, a humanistic, somatic, and mindfulness-based technique, has equipped her with the skills to facilitate deep transformation and healing.

My philosophy is founded on an understanding that healing is a process of re-establishing connection to ourselves and reigniting vitality through making an embodied life. Through connection we heal. It is my pleasure and honor to provide support to the Caya Shobo community as, together, we share this journey of healing and sacred learning.” Jen

To say Ayahuasca is a conscious plant spirit is, to science, at best, irrelevant. And yet, the spiritual realm is the basis of the medicine of Ayahuasca."

Arin Weiss

BA, MA (Counseling Psychology)

Arin holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with a focus on Somatics, from the California Institute of Integral Studies where she graduated in 2012. Arin has worked as a therapist with children, adolescents, and adults, individually and in groups, in a variety of settings (including schools, a substance abuse center, and a behavioral health center). Arin has also been following the Shipibo Master Plant Dieta tradition since 2012.

Arin recently became a new mother, before which she managed the Caya Shobo healing center and served as a lead facilitator of Ayahuasca Retreats. Today, Arin supports the Caya Shobo community with Reservations and Ayahuasca Retreat preparation, as well as providing counselling support for guests’ Ayahuasca Integration and Dieta healing journeys.

I believe everyone has innate, unique, and needed gifts to offer the world. I seek to help others discover their own natural rhythms, gifts, and challenges, so they can more fully become themselves. I am drawn to working with people in life transitions and amidst ‘identity’ crises, as I believe these challenging, liminal passages hold the potential for us to grow something new and expand our sense of what is possible.” Arin
